Meet the Team - Sinead

Meet The Team

Welcome to our newest team member: Sinead is our lovely, smiley, new receptionist.

She joined the team in May and In her words, she loves “Arriving at work each day knowing that I will be surrounded by people that care about the animals around them – customers and vets alike! I love that the vets here are so interested in what they do. (I also love that patting animals is part of my job!)”

As well being our first point of contact for our clients on the phone and the front desk, Sinead has also picked up the role of “social media” coordinator & she is always on the lookout for a great story or photo of a patient.

Sinead grew up in England, with a Professor of Animal Behaviour for a Dad. She then studied anthropology at Melbourne University and is now working towards an official qualification in dog behaviour.

She lives on our gorgeous coast, overlooking Matapouri Bay, with her partner Alton. They had 2 dogs:  Bertie ‘Grumble B’ the Basenji, an ex- show dog expunged from the ring for having too large a head! He now enjoys letting his hair down at the beach and lying in the sunshine & Awhi ‘80k’ the Husky X Staffy. An absolute nutter with a heart of gold who’s currently learning to surf and pull a custom-built dog scooter!

Then along came Ingwe!....

Adopting waifs & strays is a recognised occupational hazard working at a vet clinic & it didn’t take Sinead long to succumb! When a cardboard box turned up on our doorstep one morning, containing a burger & a rather bedraggled looking puppy, it was all over for Sinead. Ingwe had a new home!

Ingwe is growing up fast, living life in the public eye, with regular posts about his puppy milestones appearing on our Facebook page! Keep an eye out for his handsome face!!
