Mill Road now offers a referral service for veterinary dentistry.

Veterinary dentistry has progressed very quickly in the last 20 years and we now know that our pets feel pain just as much as their owners. Furthermore, dental disease causes damage to other body organs such as the heart, liver and kidneys, leading to decreased quality and longevity of life.

At Mill Road Vets we have the latest digital x-ray equipment to diagnose your pets’ dental problems and we also have the skill and expertise to offer the most suitable treatment options for damaged and broken teeth. Our staff are all trained in the best options of home care and happy to advise you on a preventative plan for your pet.

We are very lucky to now have Geraldine Gorman available to see all our more complicated dental cases and to take referral work from around Northland. Geraldine is an experienced small animal clinician with a special interest in veterinary dentistry.

For the last 10 years she has pursued this interest with extensive training and study and in 2010 she obtained membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists Dental Chapter by examination. She is a member of the American Veterinary Dental Society, which enables her to keep up to date with the latest developents in the growing field of veterinary dentistry.
