Claire Hesling, BVSc

Claire was born in New Zealand but grew up on the west coast of Canada. She completed her first degree at the University of British Columbia before moving back to New Zealand to complete her Veterinary training at Massey University.

For the last 2 years she has been working at a small animal clinic on the North Shore of Auckland where she took care of a variety of pets. In her spare time she volunteered at the Animal Sanctuary in Matakana where she got to help rehabilitate native birds, rescued battery hens and abused large animals. .

Claire is excited to be part of the team at Mill Road Veterinary Clinic to help keep up with the growing practice. She has a special love for cats and hopes to help provide a happy stress free visit for her feline friends. Of course all other creatures great and small are also warmly welcomed into her consult.

When not working Claire is looking forward to getting to spend more time with her family who live in Whangarei and explore all that Northland has to offer.
