Meaghan
BSc(dist), BVSc
Vet

Meaghan grew up in Nova Scotia, on the East coast of Canada with her Kiwi Canadian family. She completed her first degree at Dalhousie University (Canada) and then spent several years travelling and teaching in China with her husband Björn, before moving to New Zealand to begin her Veterinary Science degree at Massey University. After completing her degree, she did a one-year rotating internship in medicine, surgery, and anaesthesia at Massey, before finally making the move up to the winterless north. She spent several years working in a small animal clinic in Waipu, before joining the Mill Road team in 2020.

Meaghan loves seeing all small animals in her consult room but has a particular soft spot for kitty cats. Her special interests include feline medicine, internal medicine, and ophthalmology. When she’s not at work you can usually find her outside in the garden, spending time with family and friends, or with her nose in a good book. Meaghan lives on a small lifestyle block with her husband, her two dogs, two cats, and small flock of sheep and chickens.
